Here are the details about this year's professionals.
On Tuesday March 31, 2009 - Seminole Band was very pleased to present our first-ever concert of this type -- local professional jazz musicians performing with students from the Jazz Chiefs and Seminole Band. This concert traced the development of jazz from the 1920's onwards, and provided a unique opportunity for our students to interact with professionals and benefit from their experience and expertise. The proceeds from this concert benefit Seminole Band.

In these lean times for schools, a concert like this demonstrates the value of an arts education and how much music education is valued in Seminole County. Ultimately that benefits all of us.
Photos of the concert and rehearsal are posted on Shutterfly.
